I believe people struggle to lose weight and get into shape not because they lack the knowledge, support or resources, but because they hold certain unhelpful beliefs about weight-loss. We know that most if not all our behaviour are influenced by our unconscious beliefs, and as long as we hold these beliefs very few of our actions, habits and decisions will be changed to help us lose weight and get in shape. In this post, I discuss 4 common beliefs I’ve come across that keep people out of shape and unhappy with their bodies.
I’m not sure where you are with these but I hope you paid attention and go from here committed to change any belief that’s holding you back and stuck in your current health or fitness state and shape.
Please note that nothing I shared was intended to offend or judge, but I do know that often times we love believing our own stories (and BS) that until someone points it out, nothing changes.
Tony Robbins once said that, “Successful people ask better questions, and as a result, they get better answers.”
It’s always good for revisiting your beliefs and asking some hard questions.
If what you believe doesn’t serve your life in a positive and empowering way, you must wonder if holding on to that belief is still a good thing or not.
I would love to read your thoughts and comments so please leave them below as usual.
